Teaser ads:An ad for Maltesers misled the public by implying they were a low-calorie snack, the British Advertising Standards Authority has found.

It said the claim that Maltesers contained "less than 11 calories each" misleadingly implied they were a low-energy product. Regulations say such claims can only be made if the solids contain 40 calories per 100g or less; Maltesers contain 505 calories per 100g. Mars, which makes Maltesers, said the calorie comment was supposed to be a factual statement, not to suggest they were low in energy.
