Roaming charges:I'm Irish but live in the UK. I'm constantly back and forth and I do a lot of business in the Republic, not to mention contacting my friends and family.
It's so frustrating that phone charges aren't universal. Calling, texting, browsing whilst abroad shouldn't be a factor, especially with international networks that have Irish subsidiaries. – Tommy Broughal
Four days in France, 75mb of e-mails downloaded unbeknown to myself. On the fourth day, 02 sent e-mail (to further add to cost) to say my roaming bill that weekend was €800. I refused to pay, they refused to concede, cut me off last month, so I had no choice but to pay. If you were to download a movie on your iphone while in France, it would cost €7,500! – B Sweeney
Tesco prices
Tesco's new campaign regarding clothing being sold at euro/sterling parity – is this just admitting that they have been ripping us off all along, that they are miraculously able to offer it now (the usual excuses, hedging, deals with suppliers – like Tesco's has no buying power!). Also, the product shelf-edge labelling, which states we are the same price as Dunnes, Superquinn etc, ie proud of the fact they are price-matching or is that fixing? – Cags
