Late night Dublin Christmas rail services start this weekend

Trains will leave city centre up to 2.50am on New Year’s Eve

Late-night weekend Dart, Dundalk and Maynooth line rail services will start running from Dublin city centre from this Friday for the Christmas season.

Irish Rail said it is the longest programme of Christmas late-night services it has ever provided. The services will run on December 2nd and 3rd and then from Thursday 8th to Saturday 10th, Thursday 15th to Saturday 17th, and Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd December.

The late trains will leave Pearse station serving all stations to Howth, and from Connolly station serving all stations to Greystones at 12.30am and 1am. Trains will also run from Pearse serving Tara Street, Connolly, and then all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk at 12.40am and 1.40am and from Pearse serving all stations to Maynooth at 12.20am and 1.50am.

A separate late service will run from the city on New Year’s Eve with trains from Pearse serving all stations to Howth, and from Connolly serving all stations to Greystones at 1.30am and 2.30am, and from Pearse serving Tara Street, Connolly. Services will run from Pearse serving Tara Street, Connolly and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk at 1.40am and 2.40am, and from Pearse serving all stations to Maynooth at 1.20am and 2.50am.

Fares will be charged at normal Dart and commuter rates, and weekly, monthly and annual season tickets are also valid.
