The Joint Committee on Article 35.4.1 of the Constitution and section 39 of the Courts of Justice Act 1924 met on 28 September 2004 from 9.30 am. The full membership of the Committee was present at all times.

The result of this determination is that the Committee is now proceeding with its work and with the implementation of the Orders of the Houses of the Oireachtas which established it.

Pursuant to Standing Orders of both Houses the proceedings of the Committee are held in private.

The members of the Committee are: Deputy Denis O'Donovan (Chairman), Deputies Jerry Cowley, Jim O'Keeffe and Jan O'Sullivan, and Senators John Dardis, Geraldine Feeney and Michael Finucane.
