Finance Ministers from the European Union were joined by ten colleagues from the accession states and all were presented with commemorative €10 coins.
A new ten euro coin, unveiled today commemorate the 10 countries which are to join the EU on May 1st, 2004.

The new coin depicts a swan nestling ten eggs symbolising the expansion of the EU.
Fifty thousand coins have been produced. They are only legal tender in Ireland and are on sale at the central bank for €30 each.
