Gaelic Games:Rhode manager Tom Coffey will take over the Offaly football team as interim manager for a second time following the recent resignation of Gerry Cooney from the post.
Coffey also led the team on an interim basis during the 2009 league season and he will now take charge for the championship campaign.
Coffey will take up the position with immediate effect and his backroom team will be announced in the coming weeks.
A member of Offaly’s 1997 Leinster title-winning panel, Coffey also won a league title in 1998.
