Two rare Moluccan Cockatoos were stolen from Dublin Zoo late on Tuesday. The birds were part of the European endangered species breeding programme being co-ordinated at the zoo.

The birds are white with a pink tinge and are about 30 centimetres tall. They have black feet, a dark grey/black beak and black eyes. They have a very obvious pink crest, which they erect if threatened.
