Cocaine with a street value of more than €10 million was seized in Dublin today

Cocaine with a street value of more than €10 million was seized in Dublin today. It is the largest seizure of cocaine this year and one of the biggest of all time in the State.

The drugs were confiscated after a car was stopped by Gardai on the Naas Rd at 2 p.m. this afternoon. A man in his thirties was arrested.

Some €4 million worth of the drug was found in the car with the remaining €6 million discovered in the warehouse near the Red Cow Roundabout.

The man is being questioned at Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drugs Trafficking Act. He can be held for up to seven days.
