A man has been arrested in the north Dublin suburb of Kilbarrack in connection with the seizure of cocaine with an estimated value of €100,000.

The man in his 20s was targeted by officers from the Clontarf Drug Unit under the Garda clampdown on organised crime, Operation Anvil.

He was stopped and searched at around 5pm and arrested.

He is being held at Clontarf Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
