Nicosia - The Cypriot President, Mr Glafcos Clerides, will accept Turkish Cypriot leader Mr Rauf Denktash's invitation to meet face-to-face in Nicosia, only if Mr Denktash returns to stalled UN-sponsored peace talks, a government spokesman said yesterday.
Any talks must be aimed at furthering the peace process, under UN auspices, in order to end the 27-year division, Mr Michalis Papapetrou added.
