Clare are looking for a new senior hurling manager after Tony Considine's reign came to an end last night. He had served one year of a two year term.
The county board's Executive Committee recommended that a new manager be appointed and clubs voted overwhelmingly in favour of that proposal.
Considine's time in charge was marked by a number of controversies, not least the omission of county goalkeeper Davy Fitzgerald from panels.
Clare endured a mixed Championship campaign this year. They lost to Cork in a controversial opening clash in which a number of players from both sides were suspended for brawling.
Considine's team then regrouped smartly to top their qualifying group before eventually losing to All-Ireland finalists Limerick in the quarter-finals.
