A Dublin postal worker who sustained head and other injuries following a road accident in Co Louth three years ago settled his action for damages for £530,000 at the High Court yesterday.

Mr Padraig McCartan SC, for Mr John Cullen (43), of Clondalkin, Dublin, announced the settlement to Mr Justice Johnson yesterday.

Counsel said his client sustained serious brain and other injuries as a result of the accident, on March 22nd, 1997 at Monasterboice, Co Louth.
