A seven-year-old child received stab wounds during an attempted robbery in north Belfast.

A seven-year-old child received stab wounds during an attempted robbery in north Belfast.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland released details of the assault - which happened on Monday - this morning.

A gang of 11 and 12 year-olds attacked the child demanding money in the New Lodge Area of the city. The injured child was stabbed in the arm and the leg.
