The US vice president, Mr Dick Cheney, says he believes America's allies will support military action against Iraq and other rogue nations to fight terrorism.

Mr Cheney vowed to "use all the means at our disposal".

He says Iraq is "very much of a concern" to US President Mr Bush and one of the focuses of the US war against terrorism.

He says the concern is because of Iraq's drive to develop weapons of mass destruction and its past support of terrorists.

Mr Cheney, who was defence secretary during the 1990-91 Gulf War, said: "Not only do they have a robust set of programmes to develop their own weapons of mass destruction, this is a place that's used it."
