Amy Winehouse will face no further action over an inquiry into an alleged attempt to pervert the course of justice, police said today.

The British soul singer (24) had been released on bail after being arrested last December and was due to return to a London police station in March.

But police today said she was no longer a suspect.

Her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil (25), is charged with trying to pervert the course of justice and inflicting grievous bodily harm.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges in court and was remanded in custody on Friday until April.
