Celtic on threshold of title

Celtic 2 Dundee 1

Celtic 2 Dundee 1

Celtic beat Dundee 2-1 at Parkhead tonight to move within one win of the Scottish premier league title.

The victory takes Celtic to 85 points, 19 clear of Rangers, and if they beat St Mirren on Saturday they will be crowned champions for the 37th time.

Tommy Johnson put Celtic ahead after five minutes and the home fans set about celebrating what they assumed would be another staightforward win.

But Dundee battled hard and Argentine striker Juan Sara equalised after 67 minutes.

Dundee had Barry Smith sent off 10 minutes from time and Celtic soon took advantage as Johan Mjallby scored four minutes later.
