Alan Thompson and Shaun Maloney each scored twice in Celtic's 6-2 drubbing of Dundee tonight to take Martin O'Neill's side three points clear at the top of the Scottish premier league.
Celtic have 94 points and have played one more game than Rangers, who are on 91 points. Celtic have a better goal difference (two) and have also scored one more goal (94) than their Old Firm rivals.
Rangers travel to Hearts for their match in hand on Sunday while the Glasgow rivals both play their last match of the season - Rangers at home to Dunfermline and Celtic away at Kilmarnock - on May 25th, four days after Celtic meet Porto in the UEFA Cup final in Seville.
Henrik Larsson put Celtic ahead in the 14th minute before Barry Smith's 26th minute equaliser.
Celtic were back in front a minute later when midfielder Thompson headed in before getting his double three minutes later.
Maloney made it five with a second-half brace while Johan Mjallby scored his side's sixth in the 77th minute.
Lee Mair pulled one back for Dundee in the dying seconds of the game.
