Havana - President Fidel Castro led a hero's welcome last night for a Cuban diplomat, Mr Jose Imperatori, who returned to Havana after a five-day stay in Canada to protest at his expulsion from the US on spying allegations.
Cuba sent a delegation to Ottawa to pick up Mr Imperatori as the Canadian authorities grew impatient with his refusal to leave Canada after a 48-hour transit visa expired.
