Montreal - Former US president Mr Jimmy Carter and Cuban President Dr Fidel Castro spoke informally for several minutes yesterday at the entrance to the Notre Dame basilica in Montreal, where they were attending the funeral of former Canadian prime minister Pierre Trudeau, who died last Thursday at the age of 80.
