Carphone Warehouse to create 60 jobs

Mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse plans to open a further nine stores in the Republic and create 60 jobs.

Mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse plans to open a further nine stores in the Republic and create 60 jobs.

The new stores will be in Drogheda, Sligo, Letterkenny, Maynooth, Ballincollig, Ashbourne, and Clonmel, with two stores in Limerick.

The retailer said the expansion would cost €2 million, and that refurbishment of existing stores would cost €300,000.

The Carphone Warehouse opened its first store in Ireland on Dublin's Grafton Street in 1997 and now has 35 stores throughout Ireland employing 250 people.
