Car bomb explosion kills man in northwest Paris

A car bomb exploded in the northwest of Paris today killing one man who was inside the vehicle, police said.

A judicial police source said the attack was being treated as a criminal act. "This has nothing to do with terrorism," the source said.

No details were immediately available on the exact time and location of the explosion.

"It was a car bomb," a police official said.

"There was a man aboard, he is dead," said the official, adding that police were investigating the blast.
