Vitoria - A car bomb exploded yesterday outside the court building in this northern Spanish town, causing major material damage, in an attack blamed on the Basque separatist organisation ETA, police said.

The glass front of the four-storey court building was seriously damaged and one passer-by was slightly injured by flying glass and was given first aid at the scene of the attack.
