A Dublin man has been arrested in Limerick after Gardai seized 150 kilos of cannabis resin, with a street value of over €1 million in a planned operation today.

The man, who is in his 40s, was arrested when the van he was driving was stopped and searched at Birdhill, Limerick at 1pm.

He is being questioned at Roxboro Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, where he can be held for up to seven days.
