Gardai have arrested two men in Virginia, Co Cavan and seized an estimated €700,000 worth of cannabis plants in a planned operation.
Detectives from the Cavan-Monaghan division searched a warehouse in the operation this morning and discovered a major cultivation operation with approximately 800 cannabis plants. The precise street value of the seizure is dependent on analysis.
The two men are being held for questioning at Bailieborough Garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
