Gardaí in Co Carlow have arrested a man after discovering cannabis plants last night.
During a search of a house at Old Leighlin at 7pm, more than 300 plants were found growing. Gardaí put the potential value of the drugs seizure at €242,000.
A man in his mid 20s was arrested at the scene and is being held at Carlow Garda station. The scene is preserved for technical examination.
