The Society of St Vincent de Paul has claimed that the level of "observable inequality" in the Republic is morally wrong and a major obstacle to achieving the objectives of the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness (PPF). It said increases should be made in PPF targets for child benefit payments and child dependant allowances.
