Bush arrives in Japan for start of Asian trip

President Bush arrived in Japan this morning at the start of a week-long visit to Asia.

President Bush arrived in Japan this morning at the start of a week-long visit to Asia.

Mr Bush, who landed in Osaka, western Japan, will travel to the nearby ancient Japanese capital city of Kyoto, where he will hold talks tomorrow with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi.

His tour also includes South Korea, China and Mongolia, and it will focus on issues such as North Korea's nuclear arms programme, trade and bird flu.
