THE National Federation of Retail Newsagents has welcomed the Government's decision to reduce employers' PRSI and Corporation Tax as "a step in the right direction". The federation's chief executive, Mr Joe Holmes, said this Budget was the first in a number of years to make a meaningful impact on the business sector.
However, he said he was disappointed with the decision to increase the price of cigarettes, as this would only serve to increase the problem of illegal street sales of tobacco.
