THE Taoiseach, Mr Bruton, and the Tanaiste, Mr Spring, will make a presentation to the International Body on decommissioning when it meets in Dublin on Friday.
The Tanaiste and the Minister for Justice, Ms Owen, made a detailed submission of the Government's views on decommissioning when the body met in Dublin before Christmas.
A Government spokesman said that the presentation this time by the Taoiseach and the Tanaiste would not be a repeat of the earlier submission. They would also respond of questions from the members of the body the chairman, Senator George Mitchell, General John de Chastelain and Mr Harri Holkeri.
The body will also meet other "relevant parties" but it is not known yet whether these will include Sinn Fein and the opposition parties, as happened the last time. Fianna Fail has made a follow up written submission to the body but has not so far been in a visited to meet it again.
Mr Bruton will represent the Government at the funeral ceremony in Paris for the former French president, Mr Francois Mitterrand, tomorrow.
