TWO brothers were injured in separate so-called punishment shootings in north Belfast at the weekend. Loyalist paramilitaries were blamed for the attacks. The first shooting happened early on Saturday afternoon when an 18-year-old man was shot in both legs in the Mount Vernon area of the city. He was described as being in a stable condition in hospital. On Saturday evening, his brother, aged in his 20s, was also shot in both legs in the same area. His condition was also described as stable.
