British racing badly hit by weather

Both Windsor and Salisbury failed their early morning inspections but clerk of the course Keith Ottesen reports no problems at Uttoxeter.

He said: "The chase course is heavy and the hurdles track is soft, heavy in places in the home straight but we definitely go ahead.

"We have no inspection planned and no problems expected."

Racing here in Ireland is focused on the final day of the Curragh's three-day Irish Derby meeting with the feature event due at 3.50
