About 100 bridges in the South Tipperary area will have to be inspected because of the recent heavy flooding.

About 100 bridges in the South Tipperary area will have to be inspected because of the recent heavy flooding.

South Tipperary County Council made this decision after the Boola Bridge in the foothills of Slieve na mBan collapsed. Six families will have only pedestrian access to the area for the next week until a new bridge, estimated to cost £20,000, is built.
