A bridge erected in Dublin Port for people wishing to view the visiting Tall Ships was closed for more than an hour yesterday evening while safety checks were carried out. The Bailey bridge was examined by an Army engineer after concerns were raised about its safety, but it was reopened to the public shortly afterwards, an Army spokesman said.
