A six-year-old boy was said to be stable in hospital last night after suffering severe burns. Gardai say it seems a 47-year-old man was responsible for throwing boiling water on the child, who was playing at the time. The boy, from Ashling Park, Coxes Demesne, Dundalk, was taken to Louth County Hospital in Dundalk on Thursday. He was later transferred to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. A Garda spokesman said a suspect was arrested.
