Boy charged with petrol attack

London - A boy was charged last night after an 11-year-old youngster was doused in fuel and set alight.

London - A boy was charged last night after an 11-year-old youngster was doused in fuel and set alight.

The boy (12), was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent by Kent Police more than 46 hours after he was first arrested. He is due to appear at Medway Magistrates Court in Chatham this morning.

Alfred Page was doused in a flammable liquid and set alight on wasteland in Gillingham, Kent, as he played with friends on Wednesday night. He was rushed to the Medway Maritime Hospital but later transferred to the St Andrew's special burns unit at Broomfields Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex, where he underwent a major operation.
