Boy (9) dies in accident at Donegal quarry

A nine-year-old boy has been killed in an accident at a quarry in Co Donegal.

A nine-year-old boy has been killed in an accident at a quarry in Co Donegal.

The boy died after an embankment collapsed on him near Annagry at around 6pm.

It is understood he was helping his father, an oil merchant, during the delivery of fuel to the quarry.

The boy has not yet been named by gardai.

The owner of the quarry is being treated in hospital in Letterkenny for a leg injury.
