Judge Catherine Delhunt said today Mulligan abused the faith put in him by young boys and their families.

“You tired to hide these heinous crimes with a veil of religion,” she told Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Judge Delahunt sentenced Mulligan to six and a half years each on two indictments to run con-currently, back dated to May this year when he pleaded guilty. He must also undergo post release supervision for seven years.
