Athens - Four bombs exploded in the Greek capital last night. The first was at a sculpture studio at 10.30 p.m. and this was followed by explosions at three foreign banks - Citibank, Barclays and the Nova Bank.
Only minor damage was caused and no one was injured.
Terrorist group the "Revolutionary Nuclei" claimed responsibility for the explosions in telephone calls before the blasts to the Athens daily newspaper Eleftherotypia.
Five months ago British defence attache Brig Stephen Saunders was killed in Athens by the terrorist group November 17 who shot him as he travelled to work.
