PARIS - French police yesterday rounded up 12 people suspected of helping Corsican separatists bomb the mayoral office of the Prime Minister, Mr Alain Juppe, in Bordeaux two weeks ago, the Interior Ministry said. Justice sources later said that the five women among those arrested were released while seven men remained in police custody.

The ministry said police swooped on suspects in town of Bonifacio, in Corsica, and around the French cities of Bordeaux and Marseille.
