ROME - A bomb exploded outside Milan City Hall early yesterday, causing damage but no injuries in an attack which came on Italy's second World War Liberation Day anniversary and on the eve of local elections in Milan and other urban centre, Paddy Agnew reports.

Politicians across the spectrum, including the Italian Prime Minister, Mr Romano Prodi, and the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Walter Veltroni, condemned the bombing.
