LINCOLN - FBI agents found and defused a live bomb while searching the mountain cabin of former university mathematics professor, Theodore Kaczynski, suspected of being the notorious "Unabomber", a US official said on Saturday.
Investigators discovered the bomb on Friday at Mr Kaczynski's remote homestead in Lincoln, Montana, the official said. It was not known if the device was intended for a specific target.
The US official said FBI agents are increasingly convinced that Mr Kaczynski (53), a former assistant professor of mathematics at the University of California at Berkeley, was responsible for the string of 16 "Unabomber" attacks that killed three people and injured 23.
