Body recovered from sea near Rosslare

The body of a woman, believed to have fallen overboard from a ferry, has been recovered from the Irish Sea.

The body of a woman, believed to have fallen overboard from a ferry, has been recovered from the Irish Sea.

The coastguard received reports from a Stena Line ferry, the Isle of Innismore, about 10pm last night that a passenger had fallen overboard.

The air sea rescue helicopter from Waterford accompanied by the Rosslare lifeboat, and Kilmore Quay lifeboat took part in a search operation.

The ferry was travelling from Rosslare to Fishguard in Pembrokeshire.
