The body of Mr Bernard McCole, the husband of the hepatitis C victim, Mrs Brigid McCole, was taken from the Thorr River on Saturday. Gardai and locals made the discovery after conducting a search when his family reported him missing. A Garda spokesman said no foul play was suspected.
Mr McCole, in his early 70s, went missing from his home in the west Donegal village of Crolly on Friday evening.
