The body of a middle-aged man has been recovered from a river in Midleton, Co Cork.
The body was found in the Owenacurra River, near the Cork Road bridge.
Two passers-by are understood to have seen the body late this afternoon and raised the alarm.
Gardaí said this evening they could not confirm any link between the incident and the discovery of another body near Whitegate by volunteers searching for missing schoolboy Robert Holohan.
