Gardai have recovered the body of an elderly man from a lake in Co Clare following a planned search.
The dead man, understood to be from the Lannaught area and aged in his seventies, was reported missing yesterday.
Gardai and locals had earlier searched an area of lake close to the Co Galway and Co Clare border today.
The body has been taken to the Mid West Regional Hospital in Limerick for a post mortem.
