The British Prime Minister was cleared by House of Commons Speaker, Ms Betty Boothroyd, yesterday of allegations he had doctored the parliamentary record, Hansard.
Mr Peter Robinson (DUP) had complained last week that a key pledge made by Mr Blair on arms decommissioning had been wiped from the official record by "someone acting for or on behalf of the Prime Minister".
The disputed words formed part of Mr Blair's response to Tory leader, Mr William Hague, who asked for an undertaking that no terrorist prisoners in Northern Ireland would be released early until their organisations had "substantially decommissioned" weapons.
A video recording showed the first part of his response - "the answer to your question is, yes" - had been excised from Hansard, Mr Robinson protested last week.
Yesterday, Ms Boothroyd told MPs that the text had been edited by the editor of Hansard in the normal way and was an accurate reflection of Mr Blair's comments.
