LIVERPOOL - Mormon Bishop Peter Gibson sexually assaulted six female members of his church over a 21-year, period, a court was told yesterday. But when confronted by police, the bishop claimed he had only been expressing his "love and concern" for women in his flock, a jury at Liverpool Crown Court heard.
Bishop Gibson (72), of Roby, Merseyside, denies 25 charges of indecently assaulting the six women and a girl, between 1973 and 1994.
