Biography: Retired Canadian Judge Peter Cory was appointed to conduct the investigation of allegations of collusion in May 2002 following commitments made during the Weston Park talks.
Judge Cory's investigation covers six cases: the murders of Chief Supt Harry Breen and Supt Bob Buchanan, Pat Finucane, Lord Justice and Lady Gibson, Robert Hamill, Rosemary Nelson and Billy Wright.
He was born in October 25th, 1925. He married Edith Nash in 1949 and has three sons.
He served as a bomber pilot in the RCAF from 1942 to 1945 and got his law degree from Osgoode Hall in 1950. In 1963 he was appointed QC and appointed to the Supreme Court of Ontario in 1974. In 1981 he was elevated to the Court of Appeal and in 1989, he was appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada.
