London - Employees accessing the Big Brother website are costing British businesses £1.4 million a week and on average £300,000 a day in lost productivity, according to Websense Inc, a provider of employee internet management solutions.

Channel 4 is getting between 100,000 and 150,000 unique users every day visiting their website for an average user session of 15 minutes.

"Employees are watching this show at work, where they can see live footage and use faster corporate bandwidth," said Wewsense's European CEO, Mr Geoff Haggart.
