Formula One:A planned €25million upgrade of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit has guaranteed the Belgian Grand Prix a place on next year's Formula One calendar.

The race was axed from this year's series as former promoters, DDF1, went bankrupt, while track improvements were not made on time.

However, Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone has now signed a four year contract with new promoters, Spa Grand Prix, who have offered assurances the revamp will be completed.

The race, provisionally included on the calendar for 2007, will now definitely take place on September 16th.
